Welding TRAINING AND Certification
for Aerospace Applications
Hobart Institute of Welding Technology (HIWT) has
been working closely with the aerospace industry for
years. We have developed specialized hands-on
welder training programs to meet the needs of
aircraft repair and hardware manufacturing,
including, but not limited to purging techniques,
heat input, and basic metallurgy of the “Super
Alloys” used in this industry.
Drawing on many years of experience, HIWT conducts
hands-on, specialized welding and brazing training
for sheet and tubing applications for steel,
stainless steels, nickel-based, aluminum, cobalt,
and titanium alloys.
The
duration of the training is flexible and based on
existing knowledge and current skill levels. We can
make an assessment, identify training needs, and
conduct the training at either your facility or
ours. This training is designed to develop you or
your personnel into proficient aerospace application
welders.
Hobart Institute also offers welder certifications
to your company specification, QCWI and/or the AWS
D17.1 Specification for Fusion welding for
Aerospace Applications. HIWT’s Certified
Welding Inspectors and ASNT Level III staff give the
ability to perform the required destructive and
nondestructive testing here in our labs with a very
short turn around time.
